Kirin
Brand Identity
Client Overview
Kirin is a mobile application designed to simplify document management and streamline the organisation of physical archives. By bringing efficiency and accessibility to everyday office processes, the app offers a practical solution for managing paper documents through digital technology.
The challenge was to create a distinctive, modern brand identity that communicated simplicity, functionality, and innovation. The name Kirin, meaning “giraffe” in Japanese, provided the inspiration for a memorable visual concept capable of connecting the animal's distinctive silhouette with the professional environment of document management.

Why Elle Visual
Our creative process began by identifying a meaningful visual connection between the giraffe and a familiar office object: the paper clip. Through initial sketches, physical experimentation, and concept development, we transformed this everyday object into a minimalist, stylised giraffe symbol.
Using circular geometry, smooth curves, and carefully balanced proportions, we developed a clean, recognisable logo design that combines both concepts into a single visual mark. The design was refined through multiple iterations and user feedback, ensuring clarity, memorability, and versatility.
The result is a distinctive app logo and cohesive brand identity that translate a functional digital service into an approachable visual experience, demonstrating how strategic logo design can communicate complex ideas through simplicity.
